Equine Wellness Plans

Pre-paid wellness plans save you over 20% off the regular price of the bundled services.

They also save in the long-run by identifying potential issues at regularly scheduled exams that can be promptly addressed, which is good for both you and the health of your horse. Wellness plans lock in the price of included bundled services for the year, meaning there are no unexpected price increases. You'll know just how much you are spending for the preventative maintenance of your horse.

A pre-paid wellness plan allows you to budget your expenditures in any given year more effectively while saving you money and reducing your overall worry about the health of your horse and the costs involved. There are three levels of care available, see the Wellness Plan Page for complete details.

Stall-side testing for lactate levels in horses

Miniature Horse mare and foal

Blood lactate levels can give us an indication of prognosis for colic cases, as well as some other diseases.

Blood lactate levels can assist in determining if referral for surgery or additional treatment is indicated.

The lactate meter gives a reading on a drop of blood in seconds, assisting in a fast decision-making process when time is of the essence.

Pro-Stride APS from Owl Manor Veterinary

This new technology combines the best parts of the biologic treatments IRAP and PRP in a stall-side treatment that requires no incubation.

Pro-Stride APS uses a horse's own blood to produce an amazing anti-inflammatory and healing joint injection treatment and can also be used for treating soft tissue injuries in tendons and ligaments.

The results are longer-lasting than typical steroid joint injections, are safer for horses with metabolic disease, better for young horses, and won't test positive in USEF, FEI and AQHA drug testing.

Stall-side testing for ketones in goats & sheep

Ewe sheep

Pregnant goats and sheep in late gestation or during lactation can suffer from a devastating disease process called pregnancy toxemia, or ketosis.

This disease causes an energy deficiency in the animal which can be fatal to both the dam and developing fetuses.

Early detection of elevated beta-hydroxybutyrate (BHB) levels, a type of ketone, in pregnant small ruminants that aren't acting well serves as a marker for this disease, and allows early treatment. The new BHB meter utilizes one drop of blood stall-side for a quick result.
